Birth Story

Recap Noah's Birth..part 1

It all started at around 8:00 a.m. We woke up, had a good breakfast and was in a rush because we had our 40 week appointment with my obgyn at 10:00. So hurried, got Vicky, dressed and rushed out the door.

At this time I had little cramps and kinda had the intuition that today was the day. So we headed to the doctors. They examine me and told me I wasn't even dilating. Jose and I were so excited to hear "Wow, your 3 cm dilated" but got the news that I wasn't even dilated. The doctor said they will be educing my labor and we planned it all out with him and were finally knowing that we were going to see our precious baby a week later.  That day it was my little sister in laws birthday and we headed over their to celebrate. I was bummed though because it seemed like forever till we would see our baby. We headed to the party and tried to have a good time.
I told Jose I had cramps and so we headed home. We went home and were just watching TV, cleaning the house, took a shower and headed to the bed.
At this time it was 11:00 p.m.. I sat down on the bed and *BLOP* my water broke. I told Jose in a very calm way (knowing that he gets very nervous over health issues, "Babe, my water broke". He got up so quickly and started asking me what do I do what do I do. I was just preparing everything and very calmly getting my hospital bag.
Jose was going crazy trying to get everything together. He ran to the room and the living room about 12 times. I kept telling him relax baby we've got time. I finally called my mom( and again very calmly) to tell her. She flipped and was O goodness, I'm on my way. It got to me when everyone was worried about my water breaking and going crazy, I could really take my contractions and was very calm about the whole thing. My mother and husband kept telling me to head to the hospital.

My birth plan was to stay home and until I was going through very bad contractions we would head to the hospital because I really didn't want to go through pain in a hospital were everyone is watching you and bothering you.  We finally headed to the hospital with my husband and mother. My brother spend the night with Vicky at home and told her she was having a slumber party with him.

So on the way to the hospital my mom was timing the contractions and Jose would just speed and hold my hand. I could still take the pain but I didn't think they could. We got to the hospital, they checked me in and told me I was 6 cm. dilated. Who would of known that in the same day that I had my last appt. I would be having contractions.
We got settled in and the contractions were getting more and more painful. At about 8 cm I just couldn't take being calm. The nurse came in and asked if I was going to doing the all natural way and looked at her and laugh.. I said I can take pain but not that much pain and asked," Can I get an epidural?". She laughed and said "You sure look like your going to do it the natural way". I just laughed and asked how long would I take to get the epidural. She said in about 10-15 minutes. So I focused and took the pain for about 10 minutes. Finally the epidural got their and I was so relieved and was almost going to hug the anesthesiologist.
Right after I got the epidural, the nurse checked me, look at me, and said, " Sweetie, your 10 cm.". I was shocked. I was stronger than I thought. But I still couldn't of done it without my bf EPIDURAL. She called the doctor, and told him that I was ready.

The doctor that delivered Noah was really nice and he had done some of my checkups before, so we were really blessed with an awesome doctor. He came in and was ready. I pushed about 3 hard times and their our little baby Noah came out.
He was adorable and looked just like sissy. We were so happy and exhausted. He was born at 4 am. Weight was 8 lbs and length was 20 inches. He was twice as big as my baby girl.  Her is some of our photo shoot session....enjoy

Pretending to be in massive pain for the picture. Jose took this picture and he was already pushing me out the door of how worried he was. Can you tell by the quality of the picture. He was literally shaking and I was playing around with my brothers.

Us just waiting for baby Noah to come...I was already on epidural laying down and was throwing up because of it...but look at this beautiful baby.

Having all these visitors was really nice and showed us how fortunate and love we are.

We finally saw our baby and felt more complete than ever. These kind of moments are a blessing from above. When you dont believe this process makes you believe that theirs someone above just sending blessings not just to our family but to everyone around us. The vibe of the whole thing is so nurturing.
